WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?

FOR US, IT’S ALL ABOUT MAKING THE EVERY DAY HAPPIER, STEP BY STEP.

Children’s Occupational Therapists focus on helping their young clients develop the skills they need to thrive in various areas of life including; self care, play, social interaction and school tasks.

They use a variety of techniques and interventions tailored to each child’s specific needs to promote independence, enhance function and improve overall quality of life. We help children overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. We are specialists in adapting environments to support full participation in daily life. OT’s collaborate closely with clients to work on the goals that they want to achieve.

OUR APPROACH

Here at The Lucy Bates Collective, we believe that every child and family is unique, and our assessment and therapy is bespoke to meet the needs of that child at that time.

We listen to the needs of the families and schools we work with and adapt our approach to make a real difference.  Our team is growing to enable us to support a wider range of children and their families but at the heart is a person-centred team who is committed to making the everyday happier step by step.

We offer a range of services from assessment and treatment for individual children and their families , as well as school-based services and training.
